Corporations are scrambling to convince lawmakers to lower wages for Michigan workers and take away paid sick leave benefits. They want to cut worker’s pay by thousands of dollars between now and 2029. Even some Democrats are caving to corporate pressure — voting for a $1,000 to $2,400 annual pay cut for their constituents. Now, there’s an effort to take away the earned paid sick time benefits that going into effect in just a few days.
We cannot allow corporate lobbyists to pressure our legislators and steal well-deserved wages and benefits from workers across the state. Please call and write to your state legislators immediately and tell them not to change the minimum wage and paid sick leave laws.
